San Ramon Swine Flu Coyote Creek School Closing

At approximately 7:30 Friday evening, 05/01/09, the Contra Costa County Health Department notified the San Ramon Unified School District that a Coyote Creek Elementary School student has tested positive for the Swine Influenza (H1N1 Virus).

For the safety of all students and staff, Contra Costa County health officials have ordered that Coyote Creek Elementary School, located at 8700 Northgale Ridge Rd., San Ramon, and the attached daycare facility be closed beginning Monday, May 4th. School may resume as early as Monday, May 11th, unless we are advised to extend the closure beyond that date.

As of this evening, there are no other schools in our district with a confirmed case of the H1N1 virus. As of this writing, all other schools in the district will remain open, and will function as normal.

For more information about the H1N1 virus, call your healthcare provider, visit Contra Costa Health Services' website: www.cchealth.org or call the Health Emergency Information Line: 1-888-959-9911.

The school district will continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available. Please continue to read your emails and visit the district website (www.srvusd.net) for updated information.
